My weekly plenary

This week in my plenary i have been learning  three new areas in reading,maths and writing. This week in maths i have been learning bedmas. In writing i am learning how to write a narrative. And in reading i am learning to identify the parts of a narrative by reading a book

My weekly plenary

This week I finished my weekly plenary and I had to write about what i struggled with in writing, reading and maths. I think I found maths the hardest but it was fun as well

Making scones

Today we had to make scones in teachnology it was quiet challenging but it was also fun at the same time. I thing the hardest part was following the recipe

Jean batten

This week each reading group got given a famous new Zealander. Our famous NZ person was Jean batten a New Zealand aviator and flyer. I think the hardest part about Jean batten was what happened to her and her plane.

My weekly plenary

This week we had to complete a page with how well we worked throughout the week and what we worked on throughout the week. I think this week I worked very well but i struggled with getting my work done in the time we were given.

Camp presentation

This week i decided to write about our camp we had it was totally amazing and i really wish we could do it again. I think the hardest part about camp was learning how to ski it was very challenging and new but i enjoyed it.

This week we have been learning about the life cycle of a cicada from how it turns from a egg to an adult cicada. I think the most hardest part about learning the life cycle was separating all the different stages of a cicadas life and finding information about the different stages.

My pick a path story

 
This week we have been learning to write our own stories where the reader chooses which way the story can end me and my group decided to use the trolls and matariki and combine it together. I think the hardest part was making the story different instead of the same.

Meteors

This week me and 3 of my other friends have been learning about meteors and meteorites instead of other people searching about planets we got meteors and meteorites. It has been very interesting learning about them , what they are and why we have them.

This week we have been given lots of set task but this week I chose to do the one where you take inspiration from the book and you make it look like your very own movie poster.

Rubbish

We have been learning about the importance of not littering because this is what littering does.

Spelling slide

This week we have doing challenges with our spelling slide and who ever has the most money at the end of the term the winner gets a prize so i'm trying to win it.

Why did WW1 start?

   
This week everyone had to find a question about Anzac. My question was why did World war 1 start?. The reason why i chose that question is because me and my friend Rangimarie really wanted to find out What caused all the wars to start.

My famous New Zealand star

   
This week we have been learning about famous new zealanders. I decided to do Parris goebel. Because i find her dancing and all her hard work very interesting. I think the hardest thing was probably finding out all of the things she has done to become the dancer she is today.

My recipe book

This week we had a class called technology where they teach you have to make all kinds of stuff this is my recipe book of all the things we have made during cooking class. The thing i found hard about the cooking was the measurements because i did not really understand some of them but i had a friend help me understand.

My animal project

This week we have been focusing on doing a project on any animal in the world. I decided to do a giant panda bear because i find pandas very interesting a cute. This week we are learning to write facts into our own words.
